A week and 3 days

Unfortunately things are pretty much the same as the last time I posted. It sure looks like I’m managed to be one of the few that didn’t get it quite right…..

I succumbed to the pressure in the end and decided to ring up and come in a bit earlier. I was worried about that left eye…. A check and it was confirmed, I have astigmatism and slight short sightedness…. Gutted. I didn’t have an astigmatism before and I’ve discovered that they are a bit of a pain since things are blurry close AND far. At the moment I’m in a wait and see period to see if it comes right or not; I’ve got a month. The right eye is pretty good though and that is allowing me to operate pretty much normally.

Because of the left eye being a bit wack everything looks like it has a bit of a haze around it. I also get the occasional headache from it too although it’s hard to really pin down cos it’s only been a week. Dryness is not overly bad, grittiness is much, much better.

Bedside manner is still leaving a bit to be desired. Information is hard to extract from the doc but that might be something to do with me not asking enough questions. I’ll try better next time. Next up for me is another appointment in about 3 weeks where an assessment will be made if I need an adjustment. At the moment I would probably take it since the current state isn’t acceptable but I would rather roll the dice again if I had too.

I am still not in a position to recommend this procedure yet. Hopefully that will change in the coming weeks.
